Branch Manager
Nick is an experienced professional in the agricultural and logistics industries, now embarking on an exciting new role as the Branch Manager for Wellington Welding Barnstaple starting in January 2025. With a solid career foundation built over 11 years at Mole Valley Farmers, Nick has gained valuable experience in a variety of roles, including management, where he developed strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of operations.
For the past seven years, Nick worked as a HGV driver, navigating the South West and delivering goods with precision and reliability. His time behind the wheel taught him the importance of efficiency, safety, and attention to detail, qualities he brings to every new challenge.
Outside of work, Nick is passionate about woodworking and enjoys using his hands to create both functional and artistic pieces. He also enjoys the strategic and action-packed world of airsoft, where teamwork and quick thinking are key. These hobbies not only provide Nick with relaxation and enjoyment but also contribute to his ability to work well under pressure and collaborate with others.
Nick is looking forward to taking on his new role at Wellington Welding Barnstaple, bringing his diverse experience, leadership skills, and passion for continuous improvement to the team.
Sales Engineer
Tom joined Wellington Welding Supplies in 2023, bringing extensive hands-on experience in MIG, TIG, and MMA welding, as well as other processes across mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium. Based at our Barnstaple branch, he takes pride in helping customers find the right equipment and solutions for their specific needs.
With a strong technical background and a practical approach, Tom ensures customers get expert advice tailored to their applications. He believes that good customer relationships are built on knowledge, trust, and a friendly, straightforward approach.
Outside of work, Tom spends time with his family, enjoys walking his dogs, and follows rugby.
Van Driver / Stores Assistant
Dean originally started working for Wellington Welding Supplies in 2013 as an agency worker following the retirement of Martin Hawker. By January 2014 he had made himself an invaluable member of the team and was recruited on a permanent basis.
Dean displays a commendable work ethic and is always one to volunteer for any task.
Dean is originally from London and his hobbies include building and playing on computers, listening to music and watching films.
