The WP9 valved torch is mainly for use with DC MMA Inverters when you wish to convert them for use as a Tig welder.

DC MMA inverter power sources are ideal for this application as they mainly provide very stable welding arcs and with the addition of a valved WP9 type torch they can provide an adequate solution for those who require a low cost entry into DC Tig welding. The drawbacks of this set up are that most MMA DC sets will only offer scratch start and the manual operation of the gas valve on the WP9 can take a bit of getting used to however the low entry cost can be an attraction.

This torch is suitable for use on DC Current up to 125 Amps, has a 12.5Ft Mono Cable with a 3/8BSP connection. To complete the set up for DC Tig welding from an MMA inverter you will need the adapter listed under related products, plus gas, tungstens etc.
